Jenna Biewend is a Jacksonville personal injury attorney working out of the Farah and Farah offices downtown. She has honed her legal experience tackling cases in many different areas of personal injury law, including time spent in insurance defense. Knowing how the other side operates makes Jenna uniquely skilled in obtaining maximum compensation for every case she undertakes. A force of nature in the courtroom, Jenna is simultaneously the kind-hearted and personable advocate clients need when they’re in the fight of their lives.
Experience Matters With the Attorney Representing You
Over the course of my legal career, I’ve had the opportunity to work across many different practice areas. Early in my career, I worked in the State Attorney’s Office in the Domestic Violence and County Traffic Court divisions and as an Assistant State Attorney in county court. Going forward, I gained invaluable experience in many practice areas, including personal injury litigation, civil rights, employment law, medical malpractice, nursing home negligence, defamation, wrongful death, defective products, and even insurance defense for a large national carrier.
With all of that experience comes wisdom. I know the strategies the opposing counsel is likely to use because I’ve faced them countless times and even worked on those strategies myself. At Farah & Farah, I bring all of this experience to bear and focus all of my attention on litigating personal injury cases. Primarily focusing on car accidents and premises liability cases like slips and falls, I handle filing lawsuits, securing settlements, and bringing my clients’ cases to court when that’s what’s necessary to fight for everything they deserve.
More Tools & Resources To Take on Tough Cases
Having worked in many different firms, I can say what we have here at Farah & Farah is unique. We have a tremendous amount of resources available to use. From state-of-the-art systems and processes to top-tier attorneys openly sharing new ideas and strategies with one another, we have everything needed to swing for the fences on every case.
I also feel empowered as an attorney because I’m a trusted professional. Rather than micromanaging us like we’re part of a large machine, we’re trusted – like we’re part of a supportive family – to use our unique knowledge, skills, and abilities to get the job done. That respect is mutual, and it’s powerful. Ultimately, having a great working environment makes me more encouraged and efficient, which helps us all do our jobs better and provide the best results for our clients.
Personal Injury Is Very Personal
Hands down, I love that being a personal injury attorney in Jacksonville lets me get great results for clients. In personal injury, you’ll never do the same thing every day. Every accident, every injury, and every client has their own unique story, and my job is to understand that story and tell it powerfully.
Clients are often hesitant or cautious about coming to an attorney, so I do everything I can to instill confidence in me and our strategy to move their case forward. Whether that’s traveling to see a client in person or being deliberate in following up on the small things I said I would do, it’s all about trust.
A case I’ll never forget involved handling a wrongful death lawsuit for a grieving family against a very high-profile individual. Working through the case was so emotional; they had just lost their young daughter, and they needed help through a horrible time in their lives. Through an incredibly difficult and intricate case, we were able to reach a good resolution. While no settlement would ever bring their daughter back, it was gratifying to help deliver them justice and provide some measure of closure.
Taking Cases From $0 Offers to Amazing Settlements
A skill I’ve honed over the years is reading people. In the courtroom, I need to be able to quickly analyze the different players involved, make a game plan, and communicate effectively. Outlawyering the other side is my superpower. Being a good attorney also comes down to being organized and prepared. Whenever I approach a case, I want to know more about it than anyone else in the room.
By working hard, reading between the lines, and thinking about cases creatively, I’ve taken several cases with $0 initial offers and turned them into six-and seven-figure settlements – even against huge corporate defendants and large national defense firms.
My Weekends Are for Family, Food, and Football
My weekends are as eclectic as I am. I love traveling, making art, cooking, and spending time with my daughter and grandson. If the weather’s nice, I am a total beach bum and love just getting out on the sand or frequenting the many amazing little eateries near the ocean. If it’s football season, I love watching a good Gators football game or cheering on my hometown team, the Jacksonville Jaguars.
I also make time for volunteering and have been active with organizations like Big Brothers Big Sisters, Rotary Clubs, and Salvation Army holiday collections. It does my heart good to work in a firm that prioritizes community involvement as much as we do here.
