Meet Nicole Thompson

Nicole Thompson is a Managing Attorney in Valdosta, GA at Farah and Farah. A top-ranked pre-litigation attorney, Nicole focuses the majority of her work on helping auto accident victims get the compensation they deserve.

My Experience Has Made me a Better Attorney

When I was in law school, I received two book awards for scoring the highest grade in the class and made the Dean’s List for my academic achievements. Coming out of law school, I started my law career in Michigan where I became licensed in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.

After moving back east, I took a job as a case manager with Farah & Farah out of the Jacksonville office while I waited to have my licensing approved. This experience was priceless – I got to learn a whole new aspect of progressing a client’s case, and became a more well-rounded legal professional. After being admitted to the Georgia Bar, I was ecstatic to finally find myself practicing law as a personal injury attorney in Valdosta.

Negotiating For Every Penny My Clients Deserve

I’d say my attorney superpower is negotiating. Oftentimes in an insurance case, the insurance company is going to throw out a ridiculously low number for all of my clients’ injuries and try to get them to settle quickly. Doing the background work necessary to build the best case possible takes many little steps that need to be coordinated perfectly. I take each case through this proven approach so that every penny my client deserves is clearly demonstrated. When I go toe-to-toe with the insurance company, I utilize everything at my disposal to get the best settlement possible.

Approaching a new case, I always take my time with my client. As an advocate for their rights, I have to make sure I build the best case possible and also manage expectations throughout the process.

During pre-litigation, one of our first priorities is getting clients the right treatment. We help clients seek care that addresses all of the issues that developed as a result of their injury. For auto accident cases, we also look at our client’s vehicle situation. On a daily basis, we deal with adjusters, look at transportation options, and help get the wheels moving towards full recovery for our clients. Being an attorney that deals with insurance companies every day, I combine a respectful, thoughtful approach with a steadfast determination to get everything my clients are entitled to.

The Support of an Entire Firm Behind Me

I’ve worked in many other firms over the course of my career and I can honestly say I have never experienced the level of family-oriented camaraderie that I do at Farah and Farah. Having a baby was perhaps one of the most joyous moments of my life, but it can also be stressful when your place of employment isn’t very supportive. Seeing a family firm in action, I was surrounded with support and kindness throughout my maternity leave. This kind of commitment to us as attorneys makes me feel empowered to give my very best each and every day.

Doing What’s Right By Victims in Georgia

I absolutely love Valdosta. When I’m not in the Farah and Farah Valdosta office, you can probably find me and my family restaurant hopping downtown. Working in such a tight knit community makes each and every case almost feel personal, like it was happening to my own family. From the very first meeting with my client, I want them to know that their voice will be heard and I will fight for the compensation they need to be made whole no matter what.
