Personal Injury Cases Are Just That, Personal
I love volunteering at Jax Legal Aid, an organization here in town that helps to provide pro bono law services to needy individuals. Being able to handle cases for people that have no idea who to turn to makes me know I’m doing something positive to effect change in my community.
One really memorable case I worked on involved an individual fleeing war-torn Venezuela for the U.S. Despite having both his Bachelors and Masters degrees completed in the States, this man who was close to my own age was facing possible deportation. With a lot of work collecting all of the necessary paperwork and background information, we were able to get this man an OPT visa to remain in the U.S. Cases like these are so rewarding because I pour my heart and soul into making sure justice is served for truly deserving people.
