Adam Riedesel is a Fort Myers personal injury attorney who brings a unique combination of approachability, real-world experience, and technical aptitude to his practice. As a Florida native, Adam built his journey to the courtroom through practical hard work, both in and out of the legal field.
Throughout his school career, Adam demonstrated exemplary self-discipline and an independent work style that developed into adaptability, which would carry on to his legal career.
Before Starting in Personal Injury Law
I come from humble beginnings, which I never anticipated would get me to where I am today. My earliest jobs included bagging for a large-scale grocer as well as working with a roofing company. Both jobs placed me in a service-oriented industry within my community and gave me an early opportunity to develop key communication skills. My experience working with roofing, unbeknownst to me at the time, would also provide me with an inside look at filing insurance claims and, more generally, how insurance companies operate. Yet, this chapter of my life came to a natural close, as I knew I wanted to make a larger impact in people’s lives.
The start of my journey to become an attorney started with attending Ave Maria School of Law in Naples. During my second year, I developed a passion for trial advocacy, ultimately leading me to pursue a position with the State Attorney’s office during the Summer seasons as a Certified Legal Intern. I also served on several school boards, including the Criminal Justice Society and Environmental Law Society.
Once I completed law school, I continued to work at the State Attorney’s office as an Assistant State Attorney. This position was courtroom facing, providing endless opportunities to obtain invaluable courtroom exposure. Once gaining these skills, I decided I wanted to advocate for the elderly, shifting my career focus to Elder Law. During my time in this field, I developed a more compassionate and understanding approach to the legal profession, seeing first-hand how each individual’s unique circumstance can impact a case. This approach is something I find I am able to put to good use to this day, as I seek to delve into the details of each distinctive situation and advocate for just compensation.
When I made the decision to take the leap to personal injury, I was eager to be able to further help people who were at a low point in their lives. Working closely with clients to gain trust and aid them in their difficult times has led to great satisfaction.
I Believe in a People-First Approach to Personal Injury Law
My favorite thing about personal injury law is that I am provided a daily opportunity to connect with people. It is a privilege to help people find a path forward after an unexpected accident or tragedy that has disrupted their normal lives.
When I work with a client, I want them to know that I’m listening. By asking, admittedly, a lot of questions, I aim to get to the essence of each case. Beyond that, I hope to make meaningful connections with my clients, to ensure they feel comfortable in what may be uncomfortable.
Experience That Drives Your Case Forward
My prior positions were fast paced, forcing me to learn how to process information quickly and come up with an efficient strategy. Careful organization of the unique details of a case both assists me as well as my clients, as I am able to provide my clients with real-time updates and aid in processing an individualized road map for each step of the case.
On a more personal note, throughout my collegiate days, I enjoyed rebuilding and repairing vintage vehicles with my friends as well as professional mentors. This has also lead me to be fairly mechanically minded, seeing each step as an individualized part of the ultimate project and end result.
As it carries through to the legal industry, each element of a case is like a different car part, needing to situate itself into a proper place to function optimally. I aim to help my clients properly understand all pieces necessary to form a strategy to move their case forward.
Admittedly, not all cases are as simple as rebuilding an engine or fixing a technical issue. I find this is where my communication skills, fast-paced thinking, and experience with unique and complex issues comes in handy.
A Local Team With the Resources of the Entire Firm
I’m thrilled to be a part of the Farah & Farah team! Everyone here really cares about their client’s needs, and I find I find I thrive in an open-door culture that allows me an opportunity to collaborate with my peers.
Working with the Fort Myers team is an exciting opportunity to focus on helping people, grow my hands-on problem-solving skills, and make a genuine difference with every case I’m on.
Where You’ll Find Me Outside of Work
I crave a certain sort of adventure outside of work. As a Florida-Native, I find there is a natural wonder to be found in my own backyard. I enjoy visiting cities throughout the state on my weekends, learning about their local culture, local cuisines, and cheering on their championed sports teams.
As previously mentioned, I have always been a car-afficionado. Though my days of fixing up antique vehicles are in the past, I can’t say forever; as I am always looking for the perfect project. I also have a particular passion for the water. Whether it be boating, swimming, fishing, scuba-diving, surfing, or my favorite mode of travel- cruising; I am always happy at sea.
On the day to day, I love spending time in the kitchen and perfecting my morning cup(s) of espresso. I am happiest enjoying my evenings on weekdays with my fiance and the newest addition to our family- our Corgi, Niles.
Throughout my life, I have also been quite the audiophile, enjoying next to every musical genre whether live, streamed, or on vinyl. I have played the violin for over 25 years and am actively trying to teach myself how to play the guitar.
