Meet David Schlosser

David Schlosser is a personal injury attorney in Farah & Farah’s Savannah office who brings a broad range of legal experience to every client he represents. Throughout his career, David has practiced in prosecution, family law, insurance defense, criminal defense, and civil litigation, giving him a well-rounded understanding of how the legal system works from nearly every angle. More importantly, each step of that journey reinforced the same belief: behind every case is a person whose life has been unexpectedly disrupted. Today, David combines years of courtroom experience, extensive legal research, and firsthand insight into how insurance companies evaluate claims to help injury victims pursue the compensation they deserve and move forward with confidence.

Finding a Career That Played to My Strengths

I didn’t grow up knowing I wanted to become a lawyer. I was an English literature major who enjoyed reading, writing, and solving complex problems, but it took time to realize where those strengths belonged. The more I considered my future, the more I recognized that the practice of law combined everything I enjoyed most while giving me the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.

Looking back, although my original path was not in pursuit of a law degree, the skills I attained while pursuing my undergraduate education have impacted how I handle every case. Studying English taught me to analyze information from every angle, communicate clearly, and explain complicated ideas in ways people can understand. Today, those same skills help me evaluate personal injury claims, identify important details, and make sure my clients understand both the legal process and the options available to them after an accident.

Building the Experience My Clients Depend On

Early in my career, I made a conscious decision to pursue opportunities that would develop my courtroom skills and expose me to different areas of the legal system. One of my earliest goals was simply getting into the courtroom as often as possible. I accepted a position that allowed me to travel through South Carolina, appearing before judges almost every day. There is no substitute for that kind of experience. The more time I spent in the courtroom, the more comfortable I became presenting arguments, and the more capable I became at thinking on my feet and responding to unexpected challenges.

I used and sharpened those skills as an assistant state prosecutor. My experiences in court taught me that successful advocacy is about much more than knowing the law. A successful lawyer needs to understand people, communicate clearly, and earn credibility through hard work and preparation. Those lessons continue to guide the way I approach every personal injury case today.

Why Every Personal Injury Client Deserves an Advocate

One of the experiences that most shaped how I represent personal injury clients today was from my time as a family lawyer. I represented a father who was fighting for custody of his daughter when her mother tried to move her out of state. He simply wanted the opportunity to be the parent his daughter needed and make certain his daughter stayed in his life. Securing custody for this father and seeing the range of emotions that played across his face when we received the verdict helped me truly understand just how significantly a single legal case can shape the course of a person’s life.

That case changed the way I think about my role as an attorney. Clients come to us because they need someone to protect their future during one of the most uncertain times in their lives. That’s why I believe every personal injury client deserves an attorney who takes the time to understand not only what happened but also how an injury has changed every aspect of their life, and who will advocate for the outcome that gives them the best opportunity to move forward.

Understanding How Insurance Companies Evaluate Claims

Working as a representative of a large insurer gave me a firsthand look at the questions adjusters asked, the evidence they relied on, and the strategies used to evaluate liability and damages. While I gained valuable experience, I couldn’t ignore the reality that I frequently saw an injured person facing challenges that extended well beyond the legal issues being addressed. It became clear to me that I wanted to use my experience to advocate for people whose lives had been changed by someone else’s negligence, rather than defend claims on behalf of insurance companies.

While defense did not become an area of the law I wanted to pursue further, the experience I gained from my time in that work was invaluable and is applied to every personal injury case I take on. Understanding how insurance companies investigate claims, evaluate evidence, and assess risk allows me to anticipate challenges, prepare stronger cases, and help my clients pursue the compensation they deserve.

Leaving No Stone Unturned for My Clients

One of the qualities that has followed me throughout my career is persistence. I enjoy digging into difficult legal questions and researching issues until I have a complete understanding of the law and how it applies to my client’s case. If I don’t know an answer immediately, I don’t see that as a stopping point. I see it as an opportunity to keep researching until I find it.

Every personal injury case presents its own challenges, and no two clients face exactly the same circumstances. Taking the time to thoroughly investigate the facts, anticipate potential legal issues, and understand every available option allows me to build stronger cases and better prepare my clients for what lies ahead. I believe careful preparation is one of the most effective ways I can advocate for the people who trust me with their cases.

Finding the Right Home at Farah & Farah

Every step of my career helped shape the attorney I’ve become. I’ve learned that the best representation comes from understanding the person behind the case and never losing sight of what is at stake. I wanted to practice at a firm that shared those values, and that’s what I found at Farah & Farah.

Farah & Farah’s commitment to putting clients first gives me the opportunity to build strong relationships with the people I represent while drawing on the resources of an established personal injury firm. It’s an environment that allows me to focus on helping injured clients rebuild their lives by pursuing the financial security and peace of mind they deserve.

Family, Learning, and Time Around the Grill

Outside the office, you’ll often find me cooking or grilling, or settling in with a good book or show. My favorite place to spend time is at home with my family. Spending time together reminds me why helping people protect what matters most is so rewarding.

I’m also an avid sports fan. Whether I’m following Arsenal Football Club, cheering on the Cincinnati Bengals, or spending time on the golf course, I appreciate the preparation, teamwork, and commitment that success requires. Those are the same qualities I bring to my work as a personal injury attorney every day.
