Top Down Support Helps Me Do My Job Better

Coming to Farah and Farah, one of the first things I noticed is just how involved Eddie and Chuck are in the day-to-day. The level of support they provide all of their attorneys is simply unmatched in a firm this size. Having the very top of the organization support me so adamantly helps me be able to focus all of my attention on the cases in front of me. We have so many different resources here that I feel like I always have the strength of the firm behind me through every step of my cases.

My Work on the Insurance Side Means I Know What to Expect

I actually worked for an insurance defense firm before I came to Farah and Farah. After doing that kind of work for several years, I got really good at handling these types of cases and knowing what to expect. However, it didn’t take long for me to realize that this was not what I wanted to do with my career so I came over to the plaintiff’s side where I get to represent the victims in the case.

I love getting to help people through truly some of the hardest situations that they’re likely to face. While I didn’t want to spend my career there, I am grateful for my experience representing insurance companies because I can pretty much tell you the exact tactics they’ll use throughout the case. Knowing my opponent on the other side of the courtroom simply makes me better at what I do presently for accident victims and their families.

Getting into the Numbers is Something I Do Really Well

I’m a bit of an early bird and I like to get into the office before the hustle and bustle so I can start planning my day distraction-free. I always set aside time first thing in the morning to review all the figures of the case because that’s when I’m freshest. At the firm, we call it “banking a case” when we’re able to get the case settled, disburse the money, work on medical billings, and close out the case. I like to handle this upfront because it’s really one of my chief responsibilities as an attorney and helps me get money in my clients’ hands sooner.

I’m a prelit attorney which means I’m the attorney who builds up your case from the very beginning. Most cases that I handle are able to settle, but occasionally they need to go to trial, which is where I’ll hand off everything I’ve prepared to one of our litigating attorneys. Building every case like it’s going to trial from the very beginning gives us a solid framework from which to manage your case most effectively, no matter where we are in the process.

If You Are in an Accident in Jacksonville, Call Me First

Early in my career, I was really active in Jax Legal Aid, which helps connect disadvantaged people with pro bono legal services in our area. I advised people that truly needed help and had nowhere else to go which was incredibly gratifying even when the cases were hard professionally or even emotionally. Through this experience, it became solidified in my heart that my work needed to center around helping everyday people get through extraordinary times in their lives. This may be what I do every day, but I know that this is your case, your life, and your future. I work hard to make sure that my clients are provided with the best resolution possible.

If I’m not getting into the details for my next case at Farah and Farah in Jacksonville, you can probably find me enjoying a stroll around all the shops and restaurants in Riverside or at Pals and Paws Field, where I love training dogs on agility courses. If it’s football season, you can bet I’ll be cheering on my favorite NFL team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
