What really excites me about personal injury law is that you get to work directly for the people in your community. You aren’t representing big businesses and you definitely aren’t representing big insurance companies—you are fighting against them to make them come to the table and pay a fair amount for everything that was taken from the victim. When I look at all the costs, I’m making sure my client is getting compensated for being able to get the right type of care from the right type of doctors. Working in Tampa, ‘Hablando Español’ Is a Must
In law school, I volunteered with the Guardian Ad Litem program that helps foster children through some of the worst situations imaginable. I’ve stayed involved with the program ever since — it advocates for children in the dependency court system, and I grew extremely attached to some of the kids I helped get out of abusive homes. This experience really helped solidify my desire to help those that can’t help themselves. I love that Farah and Farah has so many different community initiatives that do real good for so many people that really need help.
Working in Tampa, we are helping people from all walks of life, and my ability to speak Spanish is a great asset. I may be a little rusty, but I can definitely help people get started and understand they really do have an advocate for their case. Beyond the office, I also volunteer with the Humane Society of Tampa Bay and take part in meal programs through my church for people experiencing homelessness. After the hurricanes hit Florida’s Gulf Coast, I joined in on relief efforts too, including beach cleanups to help our local communities get back on their feet.
When I’m not in the office in Tampa, there’s a good chance you’ll find me at nearby gems like St. Petersburg Pier. The quaint shopping areas and restaurants offer a beautiful view of the water and are a great place for me and my Dachshund Dixie to relax and unwind at the end of the workday. I’m also a pretty big college football fan and catch the UCF Knights or Florida Gators in action as often as I can.
