Meet Andrew Scott

Andrew Scott is a personal injury attorney at Farah and Farah in Jacksonville. During his first year of law school, he attended Florida Coastal School of Law where he earned book awards in Property Law I, Contracts I, Lawyering Process I, and Lawyering Process II. After his first year, he then clerked for The Honorable Daniel Wilensky in Clay County, Florida while also clerking for a large insurance defense law firm. Due to his love for the University of Florida, Andrew returned to Gainesville for his last two years of law school where he would eventually graduate with honors. The summer following his second year, Andrew worked as a summer associate for a well-respected independent law firm in Jacksonville and then continued to practice commercial litigation with that firm for almost two years after law school. In 2017, Andrew started to grow tired of representing large businesses and insurance companies and began shifting his practice to personal injury law to help individuals. Millions of dollars recovered for clients later, Andrew has never looked back.

Client-First is What We Do at Farah & Farah

Being in a law firm as big as Farah and Farah, no two days are the same. We are a tight knit group of legal professionals all working together for a common cause: to get the most we can for our clients. When it comes to problem solving our client’s cases, it’s always a team effort. Given Farah and Farah’s size, the firm is able to use the combined knowledge and expertise of all its attorneys and paralegals to fight for clients and achieve maximum results.

Having worked previously defended big businesses and insurance companies, I can definitely say that putting the client first isn’t something you find in every law firm. It is humbling to see Eddie and Chuck here everyday fighting right alongside the rest of us to give our clients our very best efforts.

Working Quickly to Maximize a Client’s Case

What sets my auto accident and premises liability practice apart is my ability to work quickly. I enjoy that my day is non-stop because it has allowed me to work efficiently for clients so that I can achieve results for them earlier than expected. By helping to manage the process and guiding my clients through the best course of action, we’re able to justify every penny that we’re asking for.

I work as a litigation attorney which means I’m fully prepared to take every client’s case all the way to a jury trial if that’s what it takes to get them what they deserve. Often, our cases can settle before this but preparing each case as if it were going to be heard by a judge and jury helps the probability of maximizing my client’s recovery.

Pursuing Every Avenue to Get As Much Back As I Can

There’s a case that will always stick with me because of the age of my client. A 12-year old girl was in the back seat of her family’s car when they were rear-ended by a commercial vehicle. The accident caused a painful tear in the girl’s shoulder that required arthroscopic surgery and several months of physical therapy.

After surgery, the girl still dealt with pain everyday making it difficult for her to participate in sports and other activities. Worrying over the thousands of dollars in medical bills, the mother sought out legal representation to bring resolution to her child’s case. With all my cases, I go through every avenue I can to maximize what my client receives. One way I do this is by negotiating with healthcare providers to reduce my client’s medical bills. Because the mother and daughter trusted me, I was able to help secure the little girl a settlement which ensures her financial future is secure.

I Love Being a Car Accident Attorney in Jacksonville

Being an attorney in Jacksonville means I’m helping people in my hometown in a very real and personal way. After an accident, there are so many things people take for granted that now will require special attention. Your vehicle may be totaled, you may require treatment, you may even be planning a funeral for a loved one. When someone else’s negligence turns my client’s lives upside down, I work to make things right.

In my spare time away from work, you can probably find me watching either the Florida Gators or Jacksonville Jaguars play football. Whether it’s running, playing basketball, or simply being outside, it’s important to find ways to recharge and reset so that I am clear headed for my client’s cases.
