Personal Injury

Meet Rania Farah

Rania Farah is a Jacksonville personal injury attorney whose passion for the law runs deep, beginning long before she ever set foot in a courtroom. As a member of the Farah family, personal injury law has always been a major part of her life. Growing up around the firm, she got to see the difference her father and uncle were able to make in people’s lives. Now, she brings that same empathy, fresh perspective, and determination to every client she serves at Farah & Farah.

I’ve Always Known I Wanted To Be an Attorney

The Farah & Farah office has felt like an extension of home for as long as I can remember. My dad would come home talking about the clients that he’d helped and the impact it had on their lives. It was never just about the cases, but the real people behind them. Hearing those stories made an impression on me from a young age.

Even as a kid, I wanted to bring something fresh to the table. The legal profession can often feel very male-dominated, especially back then, so I wanted to provide more perspective and a woman’s voice to the field. Now, with my cousins Dalya and Rawan, I feel proud to be part of a generation of women continuing to make a difference.

Personal Injury Is Where My Heart Is

While in law school, I explored other areas of law, especially criminal law. However, I kept coming back to personal injury law. It was familiar and reassuring, but also purposeful. It’s the area of law where I felt I could do the most good. Even the smallest step forward in a case can make a huge difference in the life of a client.

Before joining the firm, I interned with Jacksonville Area Legal Aid. Although I wasn’t a lawyer yet, I got to help with clinics and talk with those in line while they waited for help, which showed me just how much even a little bit of support can mean. Some of my most meaningful experiences thus far have been helping veterans at community clinics. They would come in anxious and stressed, but leave happy and more at peace.

It was moments like this – moments when I saw a wave of relief wash over someone’s face – that really cemented my decision to pursue this career. I wanted to be able to make that kind of a difference in people’s lives every day.

Family Values Are the Heart of Our Entire Firm

While Farah & Farah is literally a family firm for me, those family values extend far beyond just the immediate Farah family. Every single member of the team is part of the wider Farah family, as are the clients. This community is part of what keeps me excited to come into work every day.

Everyone is so welcoming and genuinely willing to help, especially as I grow into my role here. We operate as a team, all working together to bring our best efforts to benefit our clients, whether that’s sharing knowledge, offering guidance, or just supporting each other so we can show up fully for the clients.

My family here isn’t just those who share my last name. It’s everyone who works at Farah & Farah.

Staying Focused, Because That’s What Produces Results

Throughout each day, I’m shadowing more experienced attorneys, talking with clients, and helping start new cases. It’s a lot to juggle at once, but I thrive in environments where I can manage a lot of different types of tasks. I’m able to shift gears quickly, stay focused under pressure, and keep up with deadlines, even when things inevitably get busy.

Recharging To Best Serve Our Clients

I think it’s important for attorneys to take care of themselves so that they can take the very best care of their clients. For that reason, I always try to find time for a walk along the beach to reset from the week. If I could pick up any new skill, it would actually be surfing. I love the idea of being out there on the water, present and fully connected with the ocean.

When I’m not at the beach, you’ll find me going out to dinner with friends or exploring local coffee shops with my sister. My sister is also a TV buddy – we’ve watched Dancing With the Stars a lot recently and are sad to see the season coming to a close. I also love to bake with my mom; we recently made these delicious homemade cinnamon rolls that went really well with coffee.

I’m a big fan of sports in general, whether it’s a Jags game or my alma mater, the Georgia Bulldogs. Between football games and the World Cup, sports are almost always on TV at our house, and it’s a fun way to spend time with the family.
