How it started:
Farah & Farah launched the Empowering Greatness Scholarship program in 2020, inspired by a quote by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr:
“Everybody can be great…because anybody can serve.”
Since the creation of the Empowering Greatness Scholarship, Farah and Farah has awarded 25 students from across Florida with college tuition. Winners were selected based on stellar community service and academic performance.
How it’s going:
This year, Farah and Farah is thrilled to partner with the Florida Prepaid College Foundation and Goodwill Industries of North Florida to award 5 high school seniors in Florida from the class of 2023 with two full year’s worth of college tuition! Scholarships will cover full tuition and local fees for 60 lower division semester credit hours at any Florida university, college or trade-school. Eligible students must attend a public or charter high school in Florida. Additional eligibility requirements can be found in the application below.
Application Process:
A scholarship committee made up of Farah and Farah staff will use a rubric to rank all completed applications. The top 10% of applicants will advance to a judges’ panel for review and final selections. Participants and winners will be notified of the results by May 1st.
Application submissions are currently closed.
