Meet Whitney Bird
Whitney Bird is a workers’ compensation attorney in Fort Myers. By working her way up from legal assistant to paralegal to practicing attorney, Whitney is one of those rare attorneys who truly understands the whole picture for securing ultimate justice for her clients. Coupled with her time spent representing insurance companies before joining Farah and Farah, Whitney Bird has both side’s playbooks memorized when it comes to getting everything injured workers deserve.
Getting the Insurance Company to Cave is My Speciality
Insurance companies love to make you feel like you are asking for way too much when you demand the benefits you are entitled to under the law. What really excites me about workers’ compensation law is when I present a rock solid case and the insurance company has no choice but to give us the benefits we are demanding or they know they’ll see me in court.
I’ve taken cases to mediation where the amount we were seeking seemed low, but it mattered to my client so it mattered to me. And it doesn’t matter if it’s $500 or $5 million, my clients benefit from the same level of tenacity that I employ in every case I undertake.
Farah and Farah’s Fort Myers Office Really is a Team Environment
Our entire approach at the Fort Myers office is to work as a team. Even though we have different practice areas, we all interact and have direct access to each other. That means I have an entire team of solid legal professionals at my disposal whenever I want to bounce an idea off someone.
Beyond that, Farah and Farah is totally different from anywhere else I’ve worked because I can reach out to any member of our entire firm and get an immediate response. Eddie and Chuck built our firm to be collaborative and team-driven so that we can capitalize on our collective strengths. Other firms are isolated in their own practice areas and that’s just not how we do things here. Our team environment makes for better results and better experiences for our clients.
The Road in Workers’ Compensation Can be Uphill, But I Love the Climb
There was a case I’ll never forget where a worker on a construction site was hurt in an accident. Despite working on the jobsite, all of the sudden none of the contractors wanted to claim this individual as an employee and would’ve left him with no compensation after a very severe injury. It did take time, but we did prevail and obtained the benefits my client was entitled to under the law.
Workers’ compensation is admittedly a tough area of the law. Your livelihood is at stake. My clients are stressed, scared, and hurt on top of everything else. Some days can feel like utter chaos, but I am here to help you see that you are never alone through the process, and that I am doing everything in my power to get you the maximum benefits available under the law.
Being in Fort Myers Means I Am Very Much Your Local Attorney
In Fort Myers, we have an amazing diversity of people from all walks of life. When I’m not in the office in Fort Myers, I love getting out to all the little gems we have around this area. Fort Myers Beach is an awesome place to get outside and relax and recharge so I’m that much more effective when I’m back in the office. If it’s football season, you can bet I’ll be catching my favorite team, the New England Patriots, every time they play.
