Meet Eddie Farah

Eddie Farah is the founder and managing partner of Farah & Farah. As a Jacksonville personal injury attorney, Eddie has been fighting for accident victims since 1979.

Eddie was born and raised in Jacksonville, along with his brother Chuck. Together, they have grown the firm from a single office in the Florida Theater building downtown into a multi-state powerhouse with offices from Atlanta to West Palm Beach. The firm was founded on the principle of putting the client first and leveraging a collaborative family atmosphere in order to provide the best experience possible for clients.

In our line of work, we meet everyday people who have gone through extraordinary events and are often facing the most difficult moments they will ever have. Moreover, we don’t put a budget on what our attorneys deem necessary to build the strongest case they can.

Leading From the Front

After more than four decades practicing law, I’ve learned that you have to be “in it” every day. As a leader, I can’t just tell my team to go do something; I have to be here leading by example. I still take client calls and help set up cases. I’m here every day doing the work because I’d never ask any member of my team to do something I haven’t already done myself.

I’ve worked almost every Saturday for the last 20 years doing our Legal Live radio show on News 104.5 WOKV. We love getting all the calls, emails, and testimonials from people in our area who have dialed into the show.

Even after all these years, I’m here day-in and day-out because I have a passion for helping people. When you have a vision, and you impart that into your people and into your firm’s DNA, it’s powerful. It creates an entire organization dedicated to doing whatever it takes for those who need our help.

It’s an Honor To Have Employees Who Have Been Here for 10, 20, and 30+ Years

At the End of the Day, It’s Always About People

When I was a kid, one of my first jobs was working a paper route around Jacksonville. That’s actually where I got my first exposure to the law, as I’d pore over the paper’s legal section to get what I thought was the most interesting “scoop.” It also taught me that earning a paycheck takes a lot of hard work, and that it felt fulfilling to know what I had accomplished each day.

My family came from humble beginnings, with my mom and dad being first-generation immigrants. My dad owned a grocery store just off Fairfax Street for almost 30 years, and we grew up seeing that if you worked hard and made it all about serving others, you could be successful.

While helping out at my dad’s grocery store, I saw the value of community first-hand. Communities are built on an exchange of trust, really. I saw my dad lend other folks’ a hand in their time of need, and sometimes he’d ask a friend to watch me while he ran an errand.

Communities, like families, take care of each other. That’s at the heart of how we approach the service we provide here at Farah & Farah. From that very first day you walk through our door, you’re part of the family. We’ve got your back.

What “Here For You, Here for Good” Means to Me

My early experiences at my dad’s grocery store are still a driving force behind our initiatives in the local community today. It’s something Chuck and I are both passionate about, with hundreds of thousands given in volunteer hours and monetary donations over the years to an incredible array of deserving organizations.

One of my favorites is our annual Empowering Greatness Scholarship, which helps provide financial assistance to underserved youths to help them pursue their dreams of graduating college. Another is our partnership with Veterans United to support the FIVE Star Veterans Center headquartered here in Jacksonville, which helps displaced veterans get back on their feet. Still another is Rethreaded, which serves survivors of human trafficking by providing meaningful employment and support. And I can’t forget to mention Betty Burney and the I’m a Star Foundation, whose heart and soul are centered on building strong communities.

We encourage our attorneys and staff to all give back to the efforts in their own communities in whatever ways they feel they can do the most good. When you have that many people all working to make a positive difference, it really adds up! And so we formed our motto, “Here for You, Here for Good.”

Farah & Farah’s Mission Is Centered on Family

There’s something truly special about Jacksonville. It’s where I grew up and, Lord willing, where I’ll always call home. My wife, Reem, and I have raised a beautiful family here, and it’s the honor of my life to have my children, Khalil, Dalya, and Rawan, as well as my nephew, Ramzi, all working here with us. They are all gifted attorneys in their own right, and our firm is truly better off having them here.

You can ask anyone in the firm; these kids have worked hard to get here. I’m thankful for many of our more experienced attorneys taking them under their wing and showing them the ropes, just like we do with any of our new hires. No matter what path they choose, Chuck and I are so proud of the next generation of Farahs and excited to watch each of them hone in on their own set of unique talents.

Speaking of Chuck, it’s tough to put that experience into words. I honestly just feel lucky to have him as a brother. We work together closely, every single day, and we complement each other well. Our synergy is what’s helped our firm become so successful. We’re family, and we certainly disagree at times, but it’s an honor that I wouldn’t trade it for the world.

Where You’ll Find Me Outside the Office

When I’m not in the office or visiting our teams at one of our many other locations across Florida and Georgia, I love being outside. Our house is the family meeting spot, primarily because of my wife’s amazing cooking, and we all gather together, eating, talking, and laughing.

When I get a little extra time, hiking and camping are at the top of my list. I’ve hiked on the Appalachian Trail many times and still go camping with a few high school buddies who’ve remained close all these years. I’ve even gotten into mountain biking on recent trips. I feel incredibly blessed that Jacksonville provides so many wonderful opportunities to get outside, even out on the water, where kayaking is always a great way to spend an afternoon.

If it’s football season, I’ll be cheering on my hometown team, the Jacksonville Jaguars, every chance I get. Our family gets especially animated every year when my college team, the Florida Gators, plays my brother Chuck’s alma mater, the Georgia Bulldogs. I’ve found that downtime is crucial to recharge, so I can be ready to roll when I’m back in the office.
