At Farah & Farah, we believe in fighting for the everyday hero – the person who stands up for what’s right, even when it’s hard. Sometimes, those heroes are the people we work with every single day. That’s why we’re incredibly proud to announce that three of our very own attorneys Erika Brenneman, Natalia Hawkesworth, and Kaley Dreyer, were recently honored in a special issue of Attorney at Law Magazine.
The inaugural issue of the ‘Women in Law’ special feature showcases resilience, triumph, motivation, and support. Read on to see how our attorneys’ incredible stories were featured alongside some of the nation’s leading female attorneys.
Attorney at Law Magazine Publishes First-Ever Women in Law Special Issue
In this inaugural issue, Attorney at Law Magazine highlights a lineup of standout female practitioners from across the U.S. legal industry, with different practices and career paths.
Published on May 29th, the 2025 Women in Law Special Issue shines a spotlight on the incredible impact female attorneys are making, not only with their clients and firms but also on the entire legal profession. These anecdotes are a powerful reminder that behind every case and every legal victory, there’s a dedicated individual with a story to tell.
The magazine shared deep insights from women lawyers across the country. We’re proud to see our attorneys included among some of our nation’s top female advocates.
Natalia Hawkesworth Describes Her Life in Law
We all know the struggle of balancing work and life. For many, especially women in demanding professions like law, it can feel like a constant uphill battle. Jacksonville personal injury attorney Natalia Hawkesworth shared her perspective on creating a supportive environment that allows for both success and personal well-being.
“Law firms need to create a space where women can continue to be successful while realistically managing their day-to-day personal lives,” Natalia shared. “I’m lucky to have a supportive work environment that allows me the freedom to work and take my personal time when I need it.”
At Farah & Farah, we strive to create a space where everyone feels they can thrive, personally and professionally. That kind of support allows our attorneys to give their all to the people who need them most.
Erika Brenneman Shares a Poignant Early Career Story
Sometimes, heroism comes from unexpected places. Tallahassee workers’ compensation attorney Erika Brenneman shared a powerful anecdote from early in her career that highlights the importance of leading from where we are and standing up for what’s right.
“A male associate noticed a partner assigning me, a new female lawyer, clerical tasks,” Erika recalled. “Recognizing this as inappropriate, he advocated for me to a senior partner. Years later, he revealed his motivation: he hoped someone would do the same for his daughters if they faced a similar situation. He understood the tasks were unfairly assigned, a burden never placed on him. His intervention was crucial for me as a new attorney, demonstrating solidarity against workplace inequity.”
Erika’s story is a powerful reminder that true strength is more than simply winning a case. We’re stronger when we support each other and challenge unfairness, no matter how small it may seem.
Kaley Dreyer Reveals Her Inspiration
Behind many great successes, there’s often an unsung hero providing unwavering support. Tampa personal injury attorney Kaley Dreyer shared how her mother’s consistent encouragement has been instrumental in her journey in the legal field.
“I very much believe that my journey in law wouldn’t be possible without my mother,” Kaley shared with the publication. “She’s been an unwavering source of support and my biggest cheerleader for as long as I can remember. Even when I faced discouragement, especially early in my career, she reminded me of my resilience to press through.”
Stories like Kaley’s remind us that our family, friends, and loved ones can be the greatest source of strength, even when the days get hard and the odds seem insurmountable. In personal injury law, it can seem like the weight of the world is against you in the courtroom. But having a solid support system both within the firm and in your personal life can make all the difference.
