There was a tripping hazard in the hall, but Sharon couldn’t see it.
When Sharon came around the corner, she fell. Hard. After landing on her knees, she hit her head against a door. At the same time, she shattered her femur.
“I was at the veterinary clinic,” Sharon explained. “I couldn’t see the [animal] scale because it was only sitting an inch and a half off the floor.” The fall wasn’t Sharon’s fault, but she was in serious pain. Medical bills were piling up.
