Meet Stephanie Torres

Stephanie Torres is a workers’ compensation attorney in Orlando. Having worked her way through law school while acting as a case manager, Stephanie is one of those rare attorneys who truly can appreciate what total case management looks like.

She has an extensive background in workers compensation and family law which makes her all the more effective as an attorney as she connects and guides clients to successful conclusions. Stephanie uses an organized and goal-oriented approach to secure win after win for her clients’ workers’ compensation cases.

Successful Cases Start with Relationship Building

Let’s face it, workers’ compensation cases are tough. Workers are injured on-the-job or doing work-related duties and then their employer’s workers’ compensation insurance isn’t paying them a fair amount for their injuries. Sadly, when a worker is injured and can’t perform their job they often find themselves no longer employed. It really bothers me on a personal level to see employers turn their backs on loyal employees. That’s one of the prevailing reasons why I work in workers’ compensation law.

My most successful cases have all started with the same thing—establishing a relationship with my clients. My clients have to trust that I know what I’m doing and that my work is going to make a real difference in their case. These cases may be tough, but with the right course of treatment and a solid game plan, I have shown my clients time and again that they were right to put their trust in me.

I Handle Every Aspect of Your Workers’ Compensation Case

I’m both a pre-suit and litigation attorney. That means I have the case from the very beginning and I handle every aspect, including trying the case in court if that’s what it takes. My background as a case manager was an invaluable experience for me. I learned how to build the strongest case possible and maintain that momentum all the way through the finish line.

Litigating cases excites me because I get the chance to go toe-to-toe with the big corporations. It’s a challenging environment, and I thrive on that because I get to give a fierce voice to my clients and their case for justice. Through meetings, depositions, mediations, and everything else that goes into the process, I help my clients manage their treatment and give them the best suite of options to progress their case. My experience has taught me that staying organized and on top of all the little details in a case is how you get a case settled and a client their check that much faster.

My Office is in Orlando But I Help Workers Across Florida

A lot of my workers’ compensation cases are from right here in Orlando but I help clients from Daytona to Broward and everywhere in between. I love giving back to this community and have a unique opportunity to do so through the Orange County Bar Association. In the past, we have provided free legal services for veterans and first responders with documents like Wills and Powers of Attorney and hope to do the same for teachers and educators this year. Not only do I get to keep my family law acumen sharp, it’s extremely rewarding to give something back to those that have already given so much.

When I’m not busy working on my next case at Farah and Farah in Orlando, you can probably find me making memories with my little ones, exploring different shops, restaurants, and attractions we have nearby. I know it’s a little touristy but I absolutely love the Orlando Eye in Icon Park just off International Drive. You’ve got awesome views and 1,001 things nearby which help me relax, unwind and recharge to get back in the office.
