Louis Iturra is a Jacksonville native and personal injury attorney with deep roots in the community he serves. After earning his law degree from Notre Dame and building years of legal experience across complex federal litigation, civil disputes, and personal injury cases, he returned to his hometown to work at Farah & Farah’s Jacksonville office. A Jacksonville Upbringing Led Me to Law
I was born and raised in Jacksonville in a close family where there was never a shortage of conversation or debate. Having attorneys in the family made me familiar with the legal profession from a young age, and I realized that my strengths in reading, writing, and making arguments were a natural fit for the legal field.
I got to test out those abilities when I took a debate class in high school. I still appreciate how that class taught me to think through both sides of an issue before deciding how to respond. That habit has stayed with me throughout my career. I don’t want to look at a case from only one angle when the client is counting on me to see what may be coming next.
Building Experience in the Courtroom
Early in my career, I worked on a large federal white-collar case along with property and contract disputes. That work gave me a strong foundation in research, preparation, and handling complex legal issues, but I wanted more opportunities to develop as a litigator. I made a deliberate move into work that put me closer to the courtroom and gave me the opportunity to handle a wider range of disputes, including personal injury claims and coverage matters.
Over time, that work taught me how to prepare under pressure, adjust when a case changes, and stay focused on the details that can shape the outcome. Now, I am thrilled to use what I’ve learned where it can directly impact people who need my help with a life-changing situation. I bring those years of preparation and litigation experience to representing injured clients who need someone ready to take their case seriously from the start.
Why I Chose To Represent Injured People
One injury case in particular changed the way I thought about my work. I saw how an accident had affected nearly every part of a person’s life, including her career, her ability to communicate with family, and work outside her job that meant a great deal to her. At the same time, the legal process reduced all of those losses to numbers, documents, and arguments, and it was almost too easy to lose sight of the emotional and physical toll the accident had on a person, not just a case file number. This experience motivated me to focus on the person behind the case number and ensure their story is truly heard.
As attorneys, we may handle multiple cases at once, but for the client, that one accident can affect almost every part of their daily life. They may be missing work, going through medical treatment, struggling with responsibilities at home, or dealing with problems that didn’t exist before the injury. That perspective has made me determined to use my experience and skills in a way that lets me focus on the person and make sure the real impact of what happened to them isn’t overlooked.
I Want Clients To Know Their Case Matters to Me
If I had to identify the quality I most want clients to experience when they work with me, it’s that I genuinely care about what’s happening to them. When I learn that someone needs surgery, can’t work, or is struggling to do things that used to be routine, I don’t see those facts as boxes to check in a file. They tell me what the injury is actually costing that person.
That’s what pushes me to dig into a case and give it the attention it deserves. I want to understand the details and make sure the client’s story isn’t reduced to a claim number. Clients deserve an attorney who understands that while this may be one of many cases in a law practice, it’s their life that has been affected. My goal is to provide the personal attention each client needs based on what they’re going through.

I wanted to practice somewhere that had the resources to fully develop a case without losing the personal connection with the client. That’s what stood out to me about Farah & Farah. Living My Best Life in Jacksonville
Outside the office, family is a big part of my life, and being close to them was one of the main reasons I returned to Jacksonville. I love taking advantage of everything the city has to offer, whether that means visiting the beaches, hiking local trails, stopping by the Riverside Arts Market, or spending time in the city’s historic neighborhoods and districts, like Murray Hill. Being a huge foodie, I can’t help but dive in and enjoy the local restaurant scene. My friends give me a hard time because I talk so much about Chancho King, which is one of my favorite local spots.
Having grown up here, of course I’m a Jags fan, but my real football passion is watching college games. As an alumnus of FSU and Notre Dame, I have two schools with strong college football traditions to cheer for, and I love every moment of it.
