Meet Demetri Zervos
Demetri Zervos is a personal injury attorney in the Tampa office of Farah & Farah. From handling hundreds of cases and obtaining verdicts in excess of a million dollars, Demetri acquired the experience to be the courtroom-ready attorney he is today. He understands what truly matters to his clients, and his experience spans auto accidents, premises liability, and medical malpractice cases, giving him extensive knowledge of personal injury law.
His strong work ethic, paired with humility and a client-focused approach, makes him an effective advocate who helps injured people recover what they’ve lost when facing the opposition.
Digging Deep Always Paints a Bigger Picture
I’ve always believed that understanding a client’s full story can be one of the most powerful tools in a personal injury case. When someone is injured, they lose more than their physical well-being; they lose the ability to enjoy their daily activities, to participate in their hobbies, to spend quality time with family. These losses are profound, damaging, and they’re what drive me to put everything I have into each case.
My approach is straightforward: leave no stone unturned. This means deeper questions beyond just “Where does it hurt?” I want to know how my clients lived before their injury, what brought them joy, and what family responsibilities they had. These details help me paint a complete picture of what’s been lost and what fair compensation truly looks like.
It’s in My DNA To Go the Distance
Throughout my life and career, I’ve seen the outcomes and troubles people face when they are injured. From growing up watching the attorneys in my family practice personal injury law to now practicing and having taken my own cases to trial, I’ve developed my craft in courtroom advocacy. As part of Farah & Farah’s litigation team, I represent clients whose cases have advanced to the courtroom, where my experience and dedication make a meaningful difference in the outcome.
It struck a chord when I saw my aunt, a trial attorney with 35 years of experience, advocate for my cousin after a serious injury. Seeing her command the courtroom, move the jury, and fight for compensation when my cousin couldn’t afford her medical bills is a powerful memory that shaped my understanding of what a dedicated attorney can accomplish. I strive to be the attorney who is ready to stand before a jury, go the distance, and fight for my clients, and that can change the dynamics of negotiation.
When Values Align, It Makes All the Difference
At Farah & Farah, I’ve found a firm that shares my client-first approach. Here, I’m given the opportunity to be more hands-on with cases and truly focus on providing exceptional service. The team atmosphere here creates an environment where we can deliver better results for our clients who trust us with their cases.
What continues to drive me in personal injury law is standing up against any tactics that diminish my clients’ experiences. When insurance companies try to reduce my clients to just another claim number, I bring my full energy and effort to the case. I’m committed to ensuring that insurance companies see the real human beings behind the paperwork.
From Claim Forms to Real Human Impact
Clients’ stories are not just words strung together, but reality. They can count on me to empathize and thoroughly translate what they’re going through to insurance companies and, if necessary, to a jury. This approach has proven effective time and again when pushing cases forward.
One of the most important things I can offer clients is preparedness. By thoroughly understanding their situation and being ready to take their case all the way to trial if needed, I create leverage that often leads to better settlements. Insurance companies recognize when an attorney is willing to go to court rather than accept a quick, inadequate offer.
A Straightforward Approach to Complex Cases
My philosophy has always been simple: put your head down and get the work done. There’s no substitute for thorough preparation and dedication. This straightforward approach extends to how I work with clients; I’m here to listen to them, understand what they’ve lost, and help them navigate the intricate legal landscape to secure the compensation they deserve.
Whatever the specifics of a personal injury case, my goal remains the same: to ensure that clients are heard, understood, and compensated for what they have lost. Stepping into Farah & Farah’s Tampa office, clients will feel that the environment has the confidence and stamina of a well-oiled machine. They can rest assured that we have the support and resources needed to deliver on this commitment, and I look forward to putting my experience to work for every client who walks through our door.
Bringing Creativity to Legal Strategy
When I’m not in the office or courtroom, you’ll likely find me cooking or on the golf course. Cooking, especially whipping up my favorite bone-in short ribs with mushroom risotto, gives me an opportunity to be creative in a different way. This creativity transfers well to my legal work, where there are often multiple strategies that could work for a case.
Just as in cooking, where you don’t know the outcome until the dish is complete, in law, you sometimes don’t know which strategy will be most effective until you reach a verdict. This ability to think creatively and adapt has served me well throughout my career.
