Andrew Yarnell is a personal injury attorney in Farah & Farah’s Orlando office who has known since childhood that he wanted to dedicate his career to helping people through the practice of law. Rather than taking the most direct path, Andrew intentionally built a foundation that would prepare him to understand both the legal and financial challenges clients face after a serious injury. Today, he combines careful analysis, thorough investigation, and a genuine desire to help others navigate difficult moments with confidence. His approach is rooted in the belief that every client deserves an attorney who takes the time to understand the facts, ask the right questions, and advocate for the best possible outcome.
I Always Knew I Wanted To Become a Personal Injury Lawyer
From the time I was a kid, I knew I wanted to go into personal injury law. In fact, one of my elementary school assignments asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, and my answer was simple: a lawyer. Looking back, it’s funny how early that decision came, but it never really changed.
Part of that came from growing up in a family that valued helping others. Both of my parents always encouraged me to be there for people whenever I could. I saw firsthand that being a lawyer wasn’t simply about understanding the law. It was about standing beside someone who had been injured because a property owner failed to maintain a safe environment, helping them understand their rights under premises liability law, and advocating for the accountability they deserved. Whether someone was hurt on another person’s property, in a car accident, or in another preventable incident, I wanted to help them through that difficult time and move forward. That sense of service has stayed with me throughout my life and continues to shape the way I practice today.
Building the Foundation To Help My Clients
When it came time to choose my education, I wanted to build skills that would make me a stronger attorney rather than simply take the most obvious path. I chose to study finance because I believed that understanding money, business, and long-term financial decisions would help me better serve future clients whose lives had been affected by unexpected injuries.
While earning my degree, I worked full time in the semiconductor manufacturing industry, including several years on the night shift. Balancing work and school taught me discipline, organization, and perseverance, while also strengthening my ability to analyze complex situations and pay close attention to the details that matter. Those lessons have remained with me throughout my legal career and continue to influence how I evaluate every case that comes across my desk.
Using the Law To Make a Difference
My career gave me the opportunity to work in several areas of the law, but those experiences only reinforced what I had known for years. From the beginning, my goal was to become a personal injury attorney. I wanted to represent people, understand their stories, and help them through the legal challenges that follow a serious injury.
When the opportunity arose to return to Orlando and join Farah & Farah, it felt like the natural next step. It allowed me to focus on representing injured clients while working alongside a team dedicated to advocating for people during some of the most difficult moments in their lives. I believe every client deserves an attorney who takes the time to understand not only what happened, but how that injury has affected every aspect of their life.
Working Together for Every Client
When I decided to follow my passion and begin work in personal injury law, I knew I wanted to practice at a larger firm with the resources to better serve its clients. I knew those resources could make a real difference when building a case and advocating for injured people. That commitment to giving clients every available advantage is what drew me to Farah & Farah.
From my very first week, I noticed how willing everyone is to collaborate. Whether it’s discussing strategy, sharing ideas, or working through the details of a case, the focus is always on achieving the best possible outcome for the client. That kind of teamwork allows me to concentrate on building strong cases, advocating for the people I represent, and helping them through some of life’s most challenging moments.
Family, Fishing, and Life Around Orlando
When I’m away from the office, I enjoy spending time with my wife and son, who is the center of our world. Much of my family still lives in the Orlando area, so I value every opportunity to get together with them.
I also try to take advantage of everything Central Florida has to offer. Whether I’m kayaking and bass fishing on the Conway Chain of Lakes, walking in the mornings, or cheering on Florida State and UCF during football season, I appreciate the chance to recharge outdoors and spend time with the people who matter most. Those moments help me return to work focused, energized, and ready to give every client my full attention.
