Leiya graduated from William M. Raines High School and is attending the University of Central Florida to study Kinesiology. She is a member of National Honor Society and Duval Student Athletes Against Violence. Leiya is involved in Henry F. Kite Elementary School, William M. Raines High School, Paxon School of Advanced Studies, and Bob Hayes Invitational Sports Clinic.
In five years, Leiya sees herself in graduate school working toward obtaining her doctorate.

What the Empowering Greatness Scholarship Means to Leiya
The Farah and Farah scholarship is impacting my life more than you could know. My parents are already supporting my older brother during his college career, so money isn’t very abundant at the moment. The help of this scholarship will take some of that weight off our shoulders. I am truly blessed to be a recipient of this scholarship and I can’t wait for this new chapter in my life to begin.
