A Path Inspired by Family
When I was a kid, my grandfather used to tell me I’d be a good lawyer one day, and those words stuck with me. Years later, while I was figuring out what direction to take in college, his voice came back to me. That simple encouragement helped shape everything that followed. I committed to law school and pushed forward. I carry his belief in me with every client I serve.
Building Trust, One Conversation at a Time
When I started working in the legal field, I knew that helping people one-on-one was where I could make the biggest difference. My “superpower,” if I had to name one, is talking with people in ways that work for them. I don’t approach every conversation the same way. I listen and learn what my client needs in that moment, and then I help however I can. That’s where I thrive.
At a firm like ours, which truly feels like family, I can connect personally with every client. I came from a large government office. Now, I’m part of a small but powerful legal team backed by the resources of a much larger firm. That’s a rare combination, and it means I can give each case the time and attention it deserves.
A Case That Stuck With Me
While I haven’t been practicing long, I’ve already seen how powerful a single conversation can be. In several cases I have worked on, just taking the time to speak with someone one-on-one has helped uncover key pieces of information that shifted the entire direction of the case. It reminded me that sometimes, the best thing you can do is be present and listen. That’s what builds trust, and that’s what gets results.
Day-to-Day Life as an Attorney
A typical day involves case preparation, conversations with clients, and coordinating closely with our legal support team. Since I’m currently commuting from Sarasota, my days are full. But even amid all the transition, I make time to stay centered through a walk on the beach or by diving into a new creative project.
I’ve always enjoyed hands-on creativity. I’m hoping to get back into woodworking and metalworking once life settles down a bit. It’s a nice balance to the detail-driven world of law.
Rooted in the Community
I’m new to Port Charlotte, but I’m looking forward to becoming a part of the community. I was involved in the Catholic Student Organization at Stetson and hope to join a local parish soon. I’m also passionate about giving back and am exploring opportunities to contribute through faith-based and legal aid organizations in the area.
When I’m Not Practicing Law
If I’m not in the office, there’s a good chance I’m checking out local spots like Siesta Key or the Ringling Museum in Sarasota. I love a good beach day and spending time with my wife as we plan our next chapter. Growing up in the Kansas City Metro area means I’m also a big Kansas City Royals fan, and you can find me cheering them on no matter how the season’s going.
