You’ll Feel the Farah & Farah Buzz the Moment You Walk In
I’ve had the pleasure of working for a number of different law firms over the course of my career. I’m supremely grateful for all of the experience and lessons learned along the way, but I can definitely say that what we have here at Farah & Farah is different from anywhere else I’ve worked. Farah & Farah is deliberate in its approach to collaboration over competition. New attorneys are warmly welcomed and quickly brought into cases.
That takes trust from the firm in our abilities as attorneys and what we bring to the table for our clients. And that trust is powerful. It empowers me to go all in all the time, knowing I have an entire team of top-notch legal professionals supporting me every step of the way. Other firms can have a corporate feel, and while we’re a large law firm with lots of resources, we’ve still maintained the family feel, which translates into a nicer place to work and a better experience for our clients.
The Courtroom Can Be Chaotic, but It’s Where I Thrive
I have spent over a decade helping victims of all kinds, but an area of the law that I find myself particularly drawn to is nursing home abuse and neglect cases. I’ve developed a lot of experience in these types of cases and love getting to help the most vulnerable members of our society get the justice they deserve.
In addition to medical malpractice cases, I also handle cases like auto accidents and slip and falls. Working across different areas of the law allows me the opportunity to build a solid relationship with my clients from the start. Getting to know their unique situation, I can help tell their story in front of a jury and help convince jurors to do the right thing. Some people may shy away from the courtroom battles, but it’s where I thrive.
It’s All About Serving People
In this work, you have to be able to connect your clients to the jury in order for jurors to see the human costs your client has experienced and how an accident drastically affected their lives. Doing so effectively takes opening your heart to your clients. For me, being an attorney is about being both an advocate and a counselor for people who are often experiencing some of the worst moments of their lives. They’re often in pain, uncertain about the process, and need a steady guiding hand. I love that my work allows me to do that every single day I’m here.
Fighting for Victims Right Here in Jacksonville
A case I’ll never forget involved an elderly man whose wife had passed away in a nursing home. This case was so extremely personal that our families even shared meals together before the trial. In all my years as an attorney, I’ve learned that truly understanding what your clients are going through takes spending time like this together. After a successful trial, my client was able to take care of all his needs and even sent me photos to keep me in the loop.
A few months down the road, this man’s brother died and he was cleaning out his house when he came across a humorous lawyer figurine. After everything we’d gone through together, he wanted me to have it. To this day it sits on my desk as a reminder to never forget just how deeply personal being a good attorney needs to be.
Outside of the Office Is for Travel With My Family
When I’m not busy working on a case, you can usually find me with my family. My husband Rob, daughters Tess and Phoebe, and our two dogs, a Goldendoodle named Tallulah and our brand new rescue, a terrier named Yoda, love to go camping and travel. Sometimes that’s just to local spots like the Green Room at Jax Beach, but we’re also scuba-certified and go as often as we’re able.
