Working in a Large Firm with a Family Feel

Working at Farah and Farah since the early 2000’s, I’ve spent my career as an attorney being cultivated by an incredibly loyal and supportive group of professionals. As a family-owned law firm, Farah and Farah has an unmatched level of understanding for family and personal issues. I’m a family man, and that’s important to me. If I ever need to take care of something, I know I can text Eddie or Chuck and get an immediate response.

The environment here is definitely not like working for a corporate giant. We are a large law firm, yes, but we haven’t changed the very large family feel that’s always defined who we are. Feeling empowered as an attorney means I’m able to focus more of my energy on my clients and their cases.

Getting Your Case Across the Finish Line Takes Grit

One of the most memorable cases I’ve had involved a local sheriff’s deputy being injured in the line of duty while driving on the interstate. A semi-tractor trailer veered out of their lane which caused another vehicle to swerve and hit the deputy’s police vehicle. The ensuing chain of collisions would leave my client with spinal injuries that were debilitating and a list of medical bills running into the thousands. The deputy quickly ran through his workers compensation benefits but he still had terrible pain and couldn’t perform his regular duties, which demand a high level of physicality. After these benefits were exhausted, my client used up all his Tricare medical benefits which he received as an Army veteran.

His injuries will likely require treatment for the rest of his life but as a result of the accident, my client lost his job as a deputy. This Army veteran was told by the defense team that he had no injury, that the entire case was a waste of the court’s time. But we held fast. We gathered the evidence and even went clear across the country to secure a crucial deposition. After nearly three years of being told there was no case, the final court decision came when a jury of my client’s peers awarded him with a $1.4 million verdict.

What Client-First Really Means

My clients are people who deserve my help and simply couldn’t navigate what can be a lengthy and complicated legal process without me. The people who come into the Farah and Farah Orange Park office are often desperate for relief and feel unequipped to get the compensation they deserve for whatever was taken from them. I’ve seen accidents that result in a lifetime of pain, both physical and emotional. These human costs are real and my job is to show a jury that my client deserves to be compensated for their damages. One of the most rewarding aspects of being a personal injury attorney is helping people that couldn’t otherwise help themselves.

There was another case that will always stick out to me where a young girl in her twenties was struck head-on by another driver. She nearly lost her leg in the accident and couldn’t walk for months. She even lost her job. The insurance company for the at-fault driver offered $25,000 citing that as the absolute limit. With some investigation, my team and I discovered an additional $750,000 in coverage under another policy that was applicable to this case. So, instead of just $25,000 for a life-altering injury, my client ended up with $775,000.

Putting your client first means you never take anything for granted. When the insurance company said that $25,000 was all that was available, we could easily have given up and said we did all we could. But that’s just not how we do things at Farah and Farah. With a doggedness that somewhat defines my career, I do whatever it takes to get the best outcome possible for my clients.

Working for Victims Right Here in North Florida

When I’m not in the Farah and Farah Orange Park office, you can probably find me out on the water with my family and friends. I absolutely love the natural beauty that surrounds us here in Florida and take my boat out every chance I get. If it’s football season, you can bet I’ll be grilling up some BBQ while cheering on the Jags or my alma mater, the Tennessee Volunteers.
