Starting a Different Fight After Honorably Serving in the U.S. Air Force
I spent some of the best years of my life serving in the United States Air Force and had the opportunity to be stationed both at home and abroad. The military teaches you lessons that I’ve found can be actively applied on a daily basis. In the military and at Farah and Farah, it’s all about teamwork. I’ve worked at other large personal injury law firms where the team mentality can become clouded. But Eddie and Chuck Farah built this organization in a way that fosters teamwork. I know that if I ever have a question, I have an entire team of top-tier legal professionals that I can turn to at any point.
From day one, new attorneys are welcomed as valuable members of this powerful team, and our combined efforts produce the results that clients deserve. I admire how the organization is run and how we utilize our shared strengths to do that much better for each and every client that trusts us with their case.
I’ve Seen the Pain Caused By Auto Accidents Firsthand
My father is a chiropractor right here in Jacksonville and he helps rehabilitate auto accident victims. From a young age, I’ve watched my father diligently work with chiropractic medicine to help his patients begin to heal and return to normal life. A car accident can wreak havoc on the human body, with injuries that don’t always show up on an MRI or x-ray. I’ve seen where the insurance companies’ defense teams will use this as evidence that there is no injury. But I’d tell any one of them to go to the doctor’s office to see what victims have to endure to be made whole again.
Unfortunately, there are some wounds that will never heal. The wounds of losing a father, a mother, a brother or sister far too soon are certainly agonizing enough, but the pain is only worsened as insurance companies look to quickly settle the case for as little as possible. To be successful in this job and do right by your clients, a good attorney has to have empathy for the life-changing situation clients are thrust into immediately following an auto accident. I wholeheartedly understand what my clients are going through—the pain, the stress, the frustration at the process. My job is to come alongside them and be a steady support they can lean on to get through one of the toughest times of their lives.
I paint the whole picture of everything my clients have been through—and detail everything they deserve under the law—with empathy and compassion for the situation they are in by no fault of their own. Empathy also anticipates clients’ stress or worry, which is why I work hard to help my clients stay in-the-know about exactly what’s going on and where their case is headed every step of the way.
Complicated Car Accident Cases Are My Specialty
I was involved with a complicated case where a man was involved in not one, not two, but three separate car accidents across a few different seasons of his life. He endured different injuries and different treatments, but multiple insurance companies wanted to place the blame anywhere other than on themselves. They all refused to pay a fair amount for my client’s injuries. This case had a lot of complexities that challenged my team and me to piece together what happened to ensure we created the best legal strategy possible that would help our client get what he deserved. It was a long road that took a lot of resources, but in the end, we got this gentleman a great settlement.
One of the most beneficial aspects of Farah and Farah (besides such a great team), is the wealth of resources we have here. Whether it’s using a medical expert who can help create a timeline for injuries, or a skilled crash scene investigator to piece together exactly what led up to a car accident taking place, I have everything I need to seek the absolute maximum compensation available under the law.
Serving in My Community Didn’t Stop After the Military
The mentality of service and giving back to my community stuck with me even after I moved on from the military. One organization I love being a part of is United Way. Through them, I serve with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program and Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) where we help deserving families and elderly persons complete and file their taxes for free. Tax care for economically disadvantaged Floridians may not be the place you’d expect to find an auto accident attorney, but I’ve found these programs to be so incredibly beneficial to truly needy people in our community and I’m proud to be part of them.
When I’m not busy in the Farah and Farah Jacksonville office, you can bet I’ll be catching the Jacksonville Jaguars, Washington Nationals, or Washington Capitals, depending on the season. I also love hitting up Riverside with my wife and dog. River and Post and Five Points in general are our favorite spots in the city.
