You Can Help Bring The Connector To Life
When the law firm of Farah & Farah in Jacksonville heard about a proposed bus line that would easily connect Jacksonville’s downtown to its beaches by ferrying passengers back and forth every 30 minutes, we thought, “What a great idea.”
Then we said, “Where do we sign up?”
Well, it turns out that helping to fund this proposed project, which would be called “The Connector,” is easy. So, easy that Farah & Farah has contributed $1,000 to help make it a reality,
Void, a Jacksonville media company, and Elbow, Jacksonville’s newest entertainment district, put their collective heads together to try to figure out how to easily connect Jacksonville’s thriving downtown scene with the beach. The idea they came up with of a private transportation system dedicated to ferrying passengers to and from Jacksonville’s cultural hotspots seemed like a no-brainer.
The Connector would be affordable at $5 one-way or $8 round-trip and it would be convenient. Initially, the buses would run from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. It would also reduce emissions, pollution and the carbon footprint while creating jobs in Jacksonville.
