Weekend Speeders Beware as FHP Cracks down on Spring Break Drivers
If you like to put the pedal to the metal you have a good chance of being caught this weekend.
The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) will be operating a statewide crackdown on speeders called “Operation Safe Ride”.
Expect to see troopers along the Interstates, the Florida Turnpike, major and minor roads pulling over those who exceed the speed limit.
The action will last from Friday through Sunday.
Apparently the spring months brings out the need to speed in us motorists. And those are the peak months for auto accidents in Florida. Coincidently, those are also the months for spring break which brings additional motorists to our roads.
Expect to see radar, lasers and unmarked patrol cars.
Overhead, aircraft will be tracking speeders as well notifying troops on the ground to pull them over. Might as well just allow for some extra time and slow down.
If you or a loved one has been involved in an auto accident because of a careless speeder, you may be entitled to compensation for damage, injuries, pain and suffering.
