Skater Hit In Auto Accident
They are pretty impressive. Young people twisting and turning on skateboards, riding ramps and rails has become somewhat of an art form.
But for one skater, his art has turned life threatening. He was hit by a car near Fort Caroline Park in Jacksonville Sunday night.
Police responding to the scene found 20-year-old Francis M. Delre III unconscious in the street.
Detectives report that the young skater apparently collided with a car when he was riding in the street. Francis was flown to Shands with critical injuries in what appears to be an accident according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’;s Office.
