Bonne Bell is recalling a children’;s cosmetics accessory bag due to the risk of lead exposure according to the CPSC. About 945,000 of the bags are included in the recall. The problem is the metal clasp on the handle of the bag contains excessive levels of lead which is toxic if ingested. So far there have been no injuries reported.  The model name also includes “Smackers” as well as Bonne Bell. The bags were manufactured in China. Consumers can contact Bonne Bell toll-free at (866) 288-8643. The CPSC has a picture of the bags in question.

Twin strollers have a metal frame with four wheels. The problem is that the strollers’; hinge locking mechanism can cut a child someone when folding and unfolding the stroller.  The items were made in China.  There have been nine reports of injury. The strollers were sold nationwide from August 2003 until this month. They range in price from $400 to $500. Consumers can get a free hinge cover repair kit from the manufacturer (877)242-5676.
