Hit-and-Run Vehicle May Have Been Found
A blue Mustang that may have been involved in a fatal hit-and-run Monday morning has been found by police.Part of Roosevelt Boulevard in Jacksonville was shut down during the morning rush hour when a car belonging to
Matthew Borg, 20 crossed the median of the busy road then went airborne.
A 61-year old Jacksonville police detective, Bob Arnold, was killed in the crash and three other people were injured in the auto accident that happened in front of the Jacksonville Naval Air Station.
His friend says Borg was cut off in traffic by the blue Mustang, but police had speculated that the two vehicles were racing. Borg has been charged.
Traffic accidents are a leading cause of death and in this case the man killed was not even involved in the alleged racing.
