Farah & Farah Purchases 750 New Year’s Eve Cab Rides

Posted on January 5, 2016

Farah & Farah helped a lot of people get home safe this past New Year’s Eve. The first try at our Keep Jax Safe program was a major success! We paid for over 750 New Year’;s Eve cab rides for Jacksonville residents. Tip included. We’re so glad so many people took us up on our offer, Farah & Farah has decided we’ll do it again on the Fourth of July.

Keep Jax Safe is a program we hoped would help cut down on New Year’s Eve drunk driving. People were able to reserve free cab rides by going to keepjaxsafe.org or calling our offices on New Years Eve. Not a lot of people know this, but Jacksonville is the largest city in America by square miles. This can make driving on holidays dangerous. Jacksonville revelers might have a lot of ground to cover after parties heading back home at the end of the night. Getting hundreds of cars and people off the road on these kind of nights helps to keep our community safer.

“We’;re pleased to say we’;ll continue to keep Jax safe through other major holidays this year, such as July 4th and again on New Year’s Eve,” firm partner Eddie Farah said. “We hope to improve on the experience too with technology and furthering partnerships in the community.”

We’d like to thank all the taxi companies in the Jacksonville area who participated in the Keep Jax Safe program. To be so successful with the Keep Jax Safe program on the first try is a real testament to how much the Jacksonville community values safety. We’re proud to be a leading part of that.
