Auto Accident Involving Single Police Cruiser
Investigators will try and determine why a St. Johns County deputy slammed his vehicle into a concrete wall.
It happened on Interstate 95 in Jacksonville. More often than not, police cruisers are involved in accidents when they’;re hit by drunk or reckless drivers. The mystery is that there were no other cars involved except the police patrol car.
Florida Highway Patrol reports the deputy was traveling east on I-95 and was responding to a call at the time of the accident. That’;s when he crossed the median and hit the concrete wall that was under an overpass.
No doubt the deputy will be questioned about his speed and attention behind the wheel once he recovers from his injuries. He was taken by Life Flight to Flagler Hospital.
