About Jeffrey Thompson
Jeff is an experienced trial lawyer, having successfully tried approximately 60 jury-trial cases for both Plaintiffs and Defendants. In fact, he has won jury trials in excess of a million dollars while representing the Defendant’s side, and also while representing the Plaintiff’s side. In addition to jury-trial work, Jeff has written briefs and argued appellate cases in front of the Kentucky Supreme Court, the Kentucky Court of Appeals, the Federal Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Federal Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. In 2012, while still practicing in Kentucky, Jeff was ranked #1 in the State by the Kentucky Trial Court Reporter as the “Most Prolific Trial Lawyer” in the State for 2012. In 2013, Jeff moved to Florida and has practiced injury law in South Florida, as well as the Orlando and the Tampa areas. Because of his wide range of experience of handling both Plaintiff and Defendant cases, and also handling most every kind of injury case that can be litigated from airplane crashes to slip and falls, chemical explosions to electrical shocks, and medical malpractice claims to car accidents, Jeff is uniquely qualified to provide his clients’ cases with experienced representation.
Jeff and his wife reside in the Tampa Bay area. They both love paddle-boarding and kayaking as well as walking the Tampa-area beaches. As a hobby, Jeff officiated high school and college football while he was in Kentucky. Since moving to Florida, Jeff has designed several obstacles for the TV show, American Ninja Warrior over the past few years, and he has a couple of new designs on the drawing board, ready for the new season.
